For Ruby, Rachel sends this update today: “Young Ruby (19) went home to the Lord. Her services were yesterday. They thanked Mary for all her prayers her boldness teaching them the word. 50 (fifty) people received the Lord.”
We can understand that her family has tears of sorrow. She was indeed a Pearl of great Price for the Lord. A pearl is a treasure to the Lord, and a ruby is a precious stone, a treasure also, as she was to her family . She was a double treasure.
Matthew 13:45-46 (King James Version)45) Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46) Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
If you have precious stones, or even pearls, you know they are special to you, and endearing to your heart. This precious girl Ruby, knew where to put her treasure, her heart, that was in Jesus. Because of her life, many came to the Lord. She is present with the Lord. “A Pearl of Great Price”, (originally posted – February 22, 2008).
This is for her family and friends. We pray that they continue in the faith, and that the precious gift of the Knowledge of Christ as Lord and Savior (the Pearl) . continue to grow within their hearts. Just as pearls are cultivated, that Ruby’s family and friends cultivate that which they have received. God bless precious family.
